Ed Williams (Vice-Chair)


Ed Williams has extensive experience in human resources and labour issues management in the natural resource sectors. He has been involved in all phases of activity in Newfoundland and Labrador’s natural resources, including exploration, project development and operations.

After working as a Human Resources and Administration Manager at Hibernia in 1997, Mr. Williams became a Human Resources Manager for the Terra Nova Project. Following this, he managed human resource policies, procedures and labour relations issues for the White Rose Project. In addition, Mr. Williams was the Business Development Manager of Kruger Inc., and most recently, held the position of Director of Human Resources at Aurora Energy Resources Inc.

Mr. Williams earned a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in business from Memorial University. He was appointed Vice-Chairman to the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board in January, 2013, and assumed responsibilities effective February 25, 2013.
