John Crocker

C-NLOPB Management Team

John Crocker is the Director of Corporate Service and Regulatory Affairs at the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB). He graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1988 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He also completed a Diploma in Information Technology (2000) and the Public Sector Leadership and Management Development program (2004) at Memorial University. In 2016 John completed the Strategic Management of Regulatory and Enforcement Agencies program at the Harvard Kennedy School.

John has worked in the public sector for 30 years with progressive roles in the Provincial Department of Finance, Treasury Board and Department of Natural Resources. John joined the Board in 2005 as a Policy and Regulatory Coordination Advisor and is the project lead for the development of the C-NLOPB’s five year strategic plan.

In his current role John is responsible for managing the C-NLOPB’s budget, information technology, human resources as well as ensuring effectiveness and efficiency of regulatory applications.

John enjoys biking, running and playing hockey and currently lives in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
