Marshall was born and raised in St. John’s and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) degree from Memorial University. In 2022, Marshall completed the Advanced Leadership Program at Memorial University’s Gardiner Center and he is currently pursuing his MBA through the Edinburgh Business School.
Marshall started his engineering career working in the petroleum industry in Western Canada before joining the C-NLOPB in 2012. He has worked in the C-NLOPB Resource Management and Operations Departments, including nine years as a Well Operations Engineer before being named Director of Operations. In his current role, Marshall leads specialized teams of engineering and technical staff focused on Well Operations, Certification, Production Operations, and Regulatory Reform.
For the past 15 Years, Marshall has been actively involved with the Canadian Progress Club Charitable Organization, serving as Director-Treasurer for the past eight years. Marshall has also recently participated as a guest lecturer for the Masters of Engineering program at Memorial University. Marshall received a 2019 Regional Young Member Outstanding Service Award from the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Marshall resides in St. John’s with his wife and daughter.
