Tim Murphy is the Director of Regulatory Affairs with the C-NLOPB, where he has been employed since February 2018.
Tim’s work history has been a mix of public and private sector roles. For 20 years, he worked as a civil servant with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, primarily in central agencies. This included appointments in various executive roles including Assistant Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and Deputy Clerk of Executive Council/Associate Secretary to Cabinet. For two years, he worked in Ottawa in the Privy Council Office, and briefly served as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Newfoundland and Labrador Premier’s Office. Tim also has 10 years’ experience working in the petroleum industry in positions focused on policy, government relations and public affairs.
He is active as a volunteer helping various charitable organizations, and for six years was a Board Member with the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
Tim is a proud native of Calvert on the Southern Shore of the province. He is a graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
