CNOOC Petroleum North America ULC (formerly Nexen Energy ULC) Eastern Newfoundland Offshore Geophysical, Geochemical, Environmental and Geotechnical Program (2018 – 2023)
On December 31, 2018, Nexen Energy ULC changed its name to CNOOC Petroleum North America ULC

The Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB) has made the decision to shorten the temporal scope of geophysical/geological environmental assessments (EAs) to six years to become more aligned with Period I of an exploration licence. Based on this decision, Nexen Energy ULC (Nexen) was directed on June 6, 2018 to provide an updated document reflecting this temporal scope change to replace the October 2018 NEXEN ENERGY ULC Eastern Newfoundland Offshore Geophysical, Geochemical, Environmental and Geotechnical Program (2018 – 2027) Environmental Assessment Addendum (Revised) FINAL REPORT #3 (Amec Foster Wheeler).
