Public Comments on draft Allowable Expenditure Credit Guideline and Application for Allowable Expenditure Credit Template

The Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB) is inviting comments on the draft Allowable Expenditure Credit Guideline and Application for Allowable Expenditure Credit Template.
This Guideline and Application Template were developed to standardize the process for assessing and approving allowable expenditures for Interest Owners of Exploration Licences and Significant Discovery Licences.
The implementation of the Guideline and Application template will have the following benefits:
- Organizes general information related to Allowable Expenditures found throughout Section 8 of Standard Exploration Licence and Significant Discovery Licence terms and conditions, the Newfoundland Offshore Area Petroleum Geophysical Operations Regulations (along with associated guidance such as the Geophysical, Geological, Environmental and Geotechnical Program Guidelines) and current policies (such as geophysical program buffer allowances) in a single, convenient location; and
- Having a readily available digital Guideline, and a standardized Application template with instructions will ensure consistent, comprehensive and complete submission of all required information by the Applicant.
The C-NLOPB is currently seeking comments on the draft Allowable Expenditure Credit Guideline and Application for Allowable Expenditure Credit Template. The deadline for comments is May 27, 2021. Comments on this Guideline and Template may be submitted to information@cnlopb.ca.
