SeaRose Power Outage

August 26, 2011

Husky Energy reported a power failure on board the SeaRose FPSO on August 25, 2011. The SeaRose immediately went to emergency power. The installation was secure and no injuries to personnel were reported. All wells were automatically shut-in as per design.

A follow-up report received by the C-NLOPB from Husky Energy on August 26 indicates full power has been restored.

An investigation by Husky Energy to identify the cause of the power failure is underway.

The C-NLOPB exercised its oversight role and is following up with the Operator.
