Husky Energy, the Operator of the SeaRose FPSO, has reported a fire that occurred in one of the firewater pump rooms on the SeaRose
FPSO shortly after 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 7. The C-NLOPB exercised its regulatory oversight role and monitored the Operator’s response. All personnel were safe and the fire was extinguished. Husky Energy personnel and procedures ensured an appropriate response.

An investigation is underway by the Operator to identify the cause of the fire and the investigation report will be submitted to the C-NLOPB as is required. Husky Energy will provide updates as appropriate.
