Small Fire in Power Generator C on SeaRose FPSO

The C-NLOPB received a report of a small fire that occurred in Power Generator C onboard the SeaRose FPSO on May 3, 2012 at approximately 4:30 a.m. this morning. Personnel on the SeaRose observed smoke and a small fire within the enclosure through a view porthole. The unit was shut down and the fire suppression system immediately extinguished the fire. A general platform alarm was sounded and all personnel were mustered. No personnel were injured. Systems and operations have returned to normal with an investigation into the incident ongoing by Husky Energy.
