The Canada-Newfoundland Offshore Petroleum Board has lifted the suspension of operations on the Henry Goodrich, the drilling unit operating in the Terra Nova field.
The notice was issued by C-NOPB’s Chief Conservation Officer today with the condition that, until further notice, no flaring activities are to be conducted at the Henry Goodrich without the approval of a Conservation Officer. The Board is continuing its investigation into the early morning spill at the Henry Goodrich on Thursday, November 25, 2004. Operations were ordered suspended on the drilling unit that morning after a spill of some 400 liters.
As well, the Board’s investigation continues into events surrounding the Terra Nova FPSO spill in the early morning hours of Sunday, November 21, 2004. The suspension order for the FPSO remains in effect.
