The Canada Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (the Board) received a “White Rose Development Plan Amendment Production Volume Increase (September 2006)” from Husky Oil Operations Limited.

The Board’s initial review of this document has determined that it constitutes an amendment to the White Rose Development Plan. Section 139(5) of the “Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Atlantic Accord Implementation Act” states that where a development plan has been approved, no amendment to Part I or II of the plan can be made unless it is approved by the Board. Approved production rates for White Rose are contained in Part I of the approved development plan. The Board is treating the document above, as well as supplementary documents received on November 20th and December 6th, as an Application to amend Part I of the White Rose Development Plan. The Application will be processed in accordance with C-NLOPB procedures and guidelines, which will include inviting public comment.
