C-NLOPB announces Landmark as successful bidder for Digital Petroleum Data Management System
In May 2007, the C-NLOPB issued a call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the Procurement, Installation and Configuration of Computer Software and Hardware for a Petroleum Digital Data Management System. In response to the call, the C-NLOPB announced on July 11, 2007 that 2 companies had pre-qualified for the work – Landmark and Schlumberger Information Solutions.
The C-NLOPB is pleased to announce today that it has selected Landmark, a product service line of Halliburton’s Drilling and Evaluation Division, to provide the Board with a Data Management System (DMS). Landmark is a leading supplier of software, optimized computing solutions and services for the upstream oil and gas industry, enabling them to provide a state of the art and cost-effective solution for the Board’s data management needs.
The DMS will provide an effective and efficient system for managing the continuously increasing volume of digital petroleum-related data generated from activity in the Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Area. Operators are required by legislation to submit such data to the C-NLOPB for curation and for public disclosure of non-confidential information.
