In November 2016, the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB) announced Call for Bids NL16-CFB03 (Labrador South Region). At that time, interested parties were advised that the close of this Call for Bids would be the later of November 8, 2017 or a minimum of 120 days after the completion of an update to the Board’s 2008 Labrador Shelf Offshore Area Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA).

Since work to update the SEA continues, the C-NLOPB hereby advises that the deadline to submit sealed bids for NL16-CFB03 (Labrador South Region) will not be November 8, 2017, but rather 120 days following the completion of the SEA update. Notification of the closing date of the Call for Bids NL16-CFB03 (Labrador South Region), once determined, and information about the progress of the SEA update will be posted to the Board’s website.

Potential bidders may contact the C-NLOPB at information@cnlopb.ca if they wish to be notified by email of the revised deadline for submission of sealed bids for Call for Bids NL16-CFB03 (Labrador South Region) or other announcements related to Scheduled Land Tenure.

Potential bidders are reminded that the deadline to submit sealed bids for the three parcels offered in Call for Bids NL17-CFB01 (Jeanne d’Arc Region) remains 12:00 p.m. NST on November 8, 2017.
