Provincial Government Representative – Digital Government and Service NL

Kelly Porter is a professional engineer, registered with the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador. She graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering in 2002 and with a Master of Mechanical Engineering in 2006.

Kelly worked in private industry as a risk analyst and project engineer from 2005 to 2010. She then began working with the Provincial Government as a Senior Risk Assessment Engineer with the Engineering and Inspections Division of Service NL. In 2013, she began working with the Occupational Health and Safety Division of Digital Government and Service NL, where she has spent time as an Occupational Health and Safety Consultant and as the Manager of Compliance Regulatory Affairs. Much of her work is focused on accident investigations, regulatory compliance and matters related to the petroleum sector.
