White Rose Development Application Received

For Immediate Release
January 16, 2001

The Canada-Newfoundland Offshore Petroleum Board has confirmed that it has received a Development Application for the White Rose project from Husky Oil Operations Limited.

The Board will begin work immediately to review the Development Application for completeness in order to ensure it contains all information required by the C-NOPB Development Plan Guidelines. Once this initial obligation has been fulfilled, the complete application will become the subject to a detailed internal review by the C-NOPB and an extensive public review process.

The Board expects to announce details of the Public Review Process and other procedures relating to the White Rose Development Application next week.
